Online There are literally hundreds of online learning institutions now available to stay-at-home students all over the world. There are colleges, universities, trade schools and more, most of which are accredited and reputable, teaching everything from accounting to audio production, from cosmetology to criminal justice, culinary arts to media arts, insurance to nursing and much, much more. Here are just a few of the larger, more respected and better-known schools. The list truly is much larger than what is shown here. (1) Westwood College. This highly-regarded online college provides course study in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Game Software Development, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Interior Design, Visual Communications and Paralegal Training. It’s a varied and diverse curriculum. (2) Keiser University. Keiser is one of the bigger online schools. It teaches students many different Business Administration courses (everything from finance to marketing), Health Sciences, Information Technology, Nursing and a course of study that may not have existed ten years ago, Homeland Security. (3) Everest University. Students “attend” this university to obtain an undergraduate degree in such fields of study as Accounting, Computer Science, Criminal Investigations, Paralegal Training, Criminal Justice and more. The school also helps students earn their MBA in many of the courses noted. (4) International Academy of Design and Technology. This school teaches a “laundry list” of subjects, everything from Advertising to Fashion Merchandising, Game Production to Graphic Design (Commercial Art), Web Design to Web Development and much more. (5) Devry University. Welcome to one the largest and best-known online schools. Devry invests a lot in advertising itself. Their commercials appear regularly on TV and in print. And their curriculum is extensive. The school teaches Business Administration courses covering about a dozen areas of expertise. It does the same for those interested in Computer Information Systems. And, because it is well-known, graduating students stand a good chance of jump-starting their careers quickly. (6) Automotive Training Centers. Some people prefer to work with their hands. For men and women who enjoy working with cars, this school will teach students to become Collision Estimators, Business Managers and, perhaps most importantly, Automobile Mechanics. 7) Cleveland Institute of Electronics. There is a broad diversity of course study available at online learning institutions. This school is proof of that. Students will learn about Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Programming, Software Engineering and more. Here is another of the bigger and better-known online schools. This is a “cutting edge” learning experience that can lead to a job in some of today’s hottest new careers. Of course, there are still many more prominent online schools that you can “attend,” such as Penn Foster (one of the largest on the internet) and eCornell, a wholly-owned subsidiary of world-famous Cornell University.
